Is one of God's Tools a Superbubble

Science has always held a strong interest for me and I am always amazed when I learn of a new discovery that may be the instrument of God. Newsweek, January 28, 1980 contained an article under science about Clouds in Space. I was so taken by the article that I made several copies and saved them. The article discussed two extraordinary discoveries about these clouds. One concerned the oldest material ever identified in the universe; the other concerned the most powerful.

The second discovery caught my attention as it described a supernova, creating a bubble, and as the bubble over took more stars, the explosions added to the hot gas bubble and left new stars in its wake. January 16, 2006, press release from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory of a Huge "Superbubble" of Gas Blowing Out of Milky Way again stirred up my interest, as this one was much closer.

The thought that came to my mind as I read the first article, was if you have a bubble that is enlarging at near the speed of light, you would not see it until the last second before it over took you. The light that we observe from space is old and the things that we see may not exist anymore. This new Bubble is nearly 23,000 light-years from earth. Stated simply the light we are seeing from this Bubble occurred 23,000 years ago! Our Milky Way Galaxy is about 100,000 light-years across.

A "Superbubble" with a diameter of 1,200 light-years is floating about 6,000 light-years from our planet at a temperature of 3.5 million degrees Fahrenheit, according to the first article. And more Superbubbles are being found each year, about Six so far.

Revelation 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. New International Version

In my mind this is a description of what would happen if a Superbubble over took the earth and our sun.

I have started writing as a hobbie and plan to write about my life, work, hobbies, region and many other things of interest to me and maybe others will enjoy also.
